Lab testing is the foundation of safe treatment with TRT and some peptides. It shows us your hormone levels, organ function, and overall health so we can create a plan that’s accurate, effective, and personalized. There are some peptide plans that do not require bloodwork but it is recommended for a full-picture understanding of your health.

Panels are customized to each patient but often measure testosterone, estrogen, thyroid, blood counts, liver and kidney function, cholesterol, and other key markers that impact your health. Our available lab panels are provided to patients during consultation.

If you are a Rhode Island patient, we will draw your labs in office during your consultation, if you desire, and have results within 24 hours. If you are a Massachusetts patient, we will order the labs for you and have the requisition form sent to your email. You will choose the lab draw location. If you wish to try and use insurance, you must go to a LabCorp location.

Most patients repeat labs every 8–12 weeks at the start. Once your treatment stabilizes, labs may be less frequent (every 6 months to a year), but ongoing monitoring remains essential.

Yes. We will provide a lab order for LabCorp if you wish to bill your insurance. We do not know what your insurance will cover and it is possible you will be billed a balance from the lab. We cannot control the pricing of labs on this balance. For more predictability and convenience, we offer self-pay labs with our discounted, contract pricing. You know what you pay up front!

Our in-house lab draws result in 24 hours, while lab draws can take up to 5 business days to result. You must complete your labs before your follow-up appointments!

If labs reveal anything outside normal ranges, we’ll explain the results and, if needed, recommend follow-up with your primary care doctor or a specialist.
